I have only done one in-cave recovery. It was before the IUCRR existed. I wouldn't care to do another one. I also did one OW recovery, in Virginia years ago

I think it basically has come out if read the posts about it. From everything that has been posted it sounded to me like the diver shut off his O2 feed, on purpose or not and either fogot to switch it back on didn't notice the po2 drop in the first place.

If I had known the diver or was personally involved, I'd probably wait at least for half a year to a year to talk about it. Six weeks is not a lot of time.

That's bit of a red herring. Last year there was a accident where a diver went through a long restriction and somehow disconnected his O2 supply. Apparently he didn't notice it a died. (At least that's what I was told happened). A HUD might have helped. Is that news to anyone who has a CCR?

It seems to me that the problem is that people make mistakes and/or get distracted not that they don't know that they need o2. Besides, we already got a report from Rich/Ken.

Why not file a FOIA thing if you really think it could save somebodies life? Seriously, you should.

because the f*cking IUCRR says on their website that they will publish it if they can, and they can, but they won't. If you have all the relevant information, why don't you let us know then? YOU said it might save a life. Less barking more biting, Tom. And stop with that lame excuse 'because IUCRR wont publish a report for whatever reason'.
