    Default easy swimming

And the flow is way way way down. Easy swimming. I finally wriggled a lil' ways down the fuzzy bunny tunnel today. That was an, err , experience.

Is it clear? No? Well....let's go anyways.

Yes the flow is down a good bit. I dived there Saturday morning & it was an easier swim than usual.

The red buoy that marks the Ear is underwater & the river is continuing to rise slightly at my house.

Hey Jim, we had a blast diving with you. Maybe you'll want to give Jeff a hand harassing us when we do our full cave. (Date TBD, at least a few months from now.)

I'd love to - please make sure to contact me when that starts. I too enjoyed diving with you guys too. I presume you completed the circuit & removed the reels & did a lights out/air share drill?

Yeah, we finished the circuit with barely a hitch. (Just one sign-language argument over who was supposed to pull a reel.) Shane finally started doing the pull-and-glide, and he was hard to keep up with after that. Lights-out exit went great as well, until we hit the lips. Rich can vouch, Shane was wedged into a line-trap pretty badly there. We managed to extricate ourselves right as Jeff was calling the drill.

For those who weren't there, this was my apprentice class. It was definately an eye opener. I want to get in a whole bunch of diving before I attempt full-cave. I can't even imagine how people do the whole thing (cavern through full-cave) in a week.

Did you make it all the way to July? Tell about it, pls! This should be a dive from hell or hell of a dive i don't know! Did you use a single tank, did you leave second bottle somewhere? Is line replaced there also (i noticed that all bypasses are now brand new line, many thanks to the person who did it ).

I kind of charted 5 "spokes" going through the fuzzy bunny "zone". One from the bypass, 2 from the main line area on the farside of the bypasses, one over to lightning spring.

The one in the bypass is tight sidemount. The lightning spring side is backmountable but you can't come out any other way). Both off the main line area are easily sidemoutable with the exception of one crazy spot that the line passes through and area completly impassable.

The line running over to July I did on a pair of sidemount 40s (with safties stashed on the main line) and took one of the 40s off to push ahead of me - it was still tight and I had a rockfall out of the ceiling and bash me in the calf.

All the lines T in together (or did last year when I checked all that stuff out) - except there is no line through the main line, right side and across to Lightning.

Some of it is fairly easy, some of it I wouldn't do again.

If you do any of the July side crazy no-mount stuff I'd suggest putting safties on the July side so you can come out on the mainline if you decide you don't want to go back the way you came.

    Default Hey Gary -

Pardon my ignorance, but are you talking about the crazy little line that branches off of the lips bypass? I've often wondered where that thing goes but even with my tiny back mount tanks I can't even think of following it.

    Regards,
    Peter Doege
