    That's not their style.

I love it when manly men hide their actions.

Tim, the earlier post is accurate. Some of the people sending around this petition were previously responsible for DIGGING to find passage in Ginnie, in one of its most pristine areas. The damage is still clearly visible. When I go back in the new passage, I challenge anyone to find any trace of my passage afterwards. I'm not even lifting the sort of silt trail that people routinely lift in the Northwest corner of Ginnie.

But of course they're from Florida, so I suppose it's OK to dig and destroy. At least in their warped, parochial little heads.

There's a small group of... well, I'd call them elitists if they weren't such a rabble of ill-educated, prejudiced, broken down old men (at least one of whom peddles drugs and indeed regularly dives Ginnie under the influence of hallucinogens) that pull these stunts, trying to dissuade anyone doing anything that they're incapable of doing. They're too old, too unskilled and too fat to get back there, hence they don't want anyone else to. On the whole, I've found the vast majority of Floridians to be very supportive of my activities in Ginnie. Unfortunately, these ill-adjusted old men seem to have the ear of Ginnie management. Hence my request to have a hearing with the management, along with NACD and CDS board members. I'm fortunate in that one of these broken old men was NOT elected to the NACD after running for the board recently.

Ahh.... Before we have to lock this thread up because folks can't be civil in a disagreement of opinion on this issue.... High Five for the explorers!

Lets stay civil, although the sarcasm and humor here is really good...

I'm guessing the answer you're looking for is eleven; one new guy to explore it and ten old goobers to stand around and grumble about how that's not the way we used to explore caves.

A while back one of these guys told me I couldn't (not shouldn't) do the Mainland - Sweet Surprise circuit because he'd have to bring a butcher knife back there to do the body recovery. I still can't get that vison out of my head and have always turned before pushing ahead.

Bruce, don't worry, they are using line cutters, EMT shears, folding bone saws, and z knives for that sort of thing these days. You get bigger chunks.

On site autopsy. What will they think of next?
