A cave exploration/research project has begun in the vicinity of West Pasco County, Florida (NOT the Beacon Woods System). Access to the site (deep and mostly unexplored) is granted for this research project only. Visibility in the system is undetermined and potentially changes room to room and passage to passage. Qualified cave divers are invited to participate.

Requirements are:
  • Certifications[list:83ee070b2f]
  • Full Cave (NSS-CDS, NACD, IANTD, GUE, or equivalent)
  • For divers wishing to dive to 130 fsw:
    Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures (IANTD, TDI, or equivalent)
  • For divers wishing to dive below 130 fsw:
    Full Trimix (IANTD, TDI, or equivalent)

  • DAN Master Plan or greater
[*]Proof of Appropriate Experience
  • Abe Davis Award, Wakulla Bronze Award, or equivalent
  • Experience with deep cave systems
  • Experience with low visibility cave systems

  • Sidemount
  • Survey
  • Prior exploration projects
