I don't use them either, but I know all the BM guys get giddy over them so I don't mind helping.

so I wanted to give all those interested an update...John P has worked with the Suwannee County Parks Department and has the OK to start! Thanks for the effort, John!!
When Jim returns from vacation, he'll start lining up his folks to build the racks and get 'm in place. We, of course, have the option of getting them going before. I believe a few of you may have someone to help build.
I won't start collecting (in fact, I may have to ask someone to help with that as my first official day living in BrasÃ#l is only 3 weeks away) from those who offered. I'll be back in a month to contribute.
While the engineers @ Ford *clearly* had cave divers in mind when they designed the Focus, I'm ready to see some racks go in.
On my way to Little River now....

I'm in, just let us know how and when to contribute.
Steve,
If Jim and his crew want to take a break from prefabbing racks, here is an alternate plan. A few weeks ago Stairman offered to be our carpenter. If he is still willing and we had another volunteeer or two we could prefab the racks here. I have suitable shop area and some tools and am willing to help and to coordinate the effort. Also, if Stairman or any of the volunteers have to travel and need a place to stay we'll make our cottage available gratis. (very comfortable and sleeps 3 or 4)

Steve , I like Little River, count me in for funds and time helping build or install.

I think its great that everyone is donating time and money to this effort at LR.
I had been told by some how primitive Mexico was but was pleasantly surprised how many places had been put up for divers to gear up at most of the sites we visited.
For those visiting Ginnie after memorial day you will see plenty of new tank racks at Devils and one new one at Ginnie.
For those divers who have to dive out of cars instead of trucks or vans it makes things easier and I think that is good. One thing I noticed at Ginnie is they put eye bolts in so feel free to bring bungees to secure tanks. Ginnie had a lot of divers this weekend and the new stand got used a good bit. ( I am guessing the one at Devils did too ) Next weekend I suspect there will be very few divers in the park and wish me luck maintaining my sanity.
They are adding several more racks at Ginnie. They were carrying them around figuring where to place them when I was there last week.
9/11....... I remember .........
