Kids' shampoo. (Watermelon, cherry and orange are my favorites.) Costs around $2.00 for a 12 ounce container.

Rinse it good just before you dive...Shaving cream sounds like it would burn..........

My preferred defog is simply dish soap. Its cheap and cleans like nothing else. Add some water and/or alcohol to a spray dispenser and it works great too. We use it at the shop and go through a lot with the Open Water classes. I call it Dayo Spit. Oh, and it doesn't freeze like some did at Ginnie this morning...

I must have defective spit. Mine never works. I have done baby shampoo and its ok but I just suck it up and pay the price for the sea drops. It seems to work best for me.

This stuff is what I use. I have tried everything there is over the past 50 years, including spit, and this is the only thing that always works.

I agree with Forrest, the stuff works really well. My only problem is no matter what I try, except spit, I am always misplacing and loosing the darn things.
