Kids' shampoo. (Watermelon, cherry and orange are my favorites.) Costs around $2.00 for a 12 ounce container.

My preferred defog is simply dish soap. Its cheap and cleans like nothing else. Add some water and/or alcohol to a spray dispenser and it works great too. We use it at the shop and go through a lot with the Open Water classes. I call it Dayo Spit.Oh, and it doesn't freeze like some did at Ginnie this morning...

It's always spit and nothing else for me

I must have defective spit. Mine never works. I have done baby shampoo and its ok but I just suck it up and pay the price for the sea drops. It seems to work best for me.
This stuff is what I use. I have tried everything there is over the past 50 years, including spit, and this is the only thing that always works.

I agree with Forrest, the stuff works really well. My only problem is no matter what I try, except spit, I am always misplacing and loosing the darn things.
