Default Need more help - research

I read a chapter in a book several years ago about the triple drowning in 1972 on the millpond. I remember that many of the things I "knew" about the incident were wrong. (It's local lore because several that died rented their gear from the shop where I now work, and the father of a Sunday School classmate was the diver that didn't die, but committed suicide a year later.)

I had thought the story was in The Darkness Beckons, but I brought my copy to school today and it doesn't seem to be in it. Can anybody tell me in which book I read this?

Might it be in "The Cave Divers" by Robert Burgess?

Seems like I read about it there, though it's been a couple of years. I'm at work and the book is at home, or I'd check for you. I won't be getting home until 2200 or so tonight - I'll check then, if nobody else answers the question definitively first.

I believe you're right. Now, if I can just find my copy...

I have a copy. I'll scan whatever you need out of it, just let me know how I can help.

It's discussed in Submerged by Dennis Lenihan, but I wouldn't buy the book just for that.

    BINGO!

Believe it or not, I grabbed half a dozen books this morning and threw them in the truck, and Submerged was one of them. Yep, that's the story. Thanks!

If anybody has ANY books or magazines with ANY story about anything even remotely concerning the Millpond, please PM me.

Sludge....while I've never had the pleasure of diving the Millpond, I think what you're doing is great, and I just wanted to say thanks.

Daniel, sorry. Dennis is his less well known brother.

    It's on google books:http://books.google.com/books?id=cc1...num=1#PPA17,M1

Interesting read on Google books. That's one of the few diving books I haven't picked up that people commonly mentioned...
