Walter, Russell, everyone else,
Please do me a favor and let's not stir the pot. You know that Rose is probably reading this (hi Rose)and it's not going to make her or anyone else amenable to discussion.
The BEST way to solve this is amicably.
I think the point that liability might best be handled by making it clear that once inside the cave, you're off Ginnie's property, is a subtle legal issue that would need legal opinion. In the interim, if you don't mind, please can we just drop this whole discussion until further discussions have been had with Ginnie.
At the end of the day it would be VERY sad if we couldn't just continue paying a pretty reasonable fee (especially if you have an annual pass and dive regularly), to have food nearby, showers after our dives, Eric looking after our cars and all the other benefits we achieve by having Ginnie on our side.

After browsing this mess one more time i want to know who in the f*ck is guru caver and what horse is he riding in all this, one post to stir the pot and then another gleefully suggesting no big deal, you can dive ginnie from a boat if you lose land acess and then nothing else...also seems, given other posts in the thread, that he was lying to begin with. Seems like a screwed up troll to me and a chicken sh*t to post with no name. Why don't you identify yourself scumbag and what are you, a caver or a cave diver or both? Bill Huth

Thanks for the info Elisha. I will be down for a while next week and be looking forward to the details and hopefully diving at ginnie. In this instance stirring the pot is a bit tame...once you light the fire and the forest starts to burn all the trees tend to go and once they are burnt they are gone and things are ugly for a long time. Guru caver is the equivalent of an arsonist and i assume takes delight (lulz) in watching the results from his handiwork. There were/are much better ways to deal with the issues being raised by the ginnie exploration then a troll starting an internet flame war. The fact that this even remotely puts the opportunity to dive giine as we have been at risk is unconscionable. I doubt that the coward will come forward. Bill

You are welcome. Yes there are better ways to deal with the issues than starting an internet flame war (or a petition). Hopefully everyone will calm back down and exploration will continue safely. People do unconscionable things every day, that first post is one I think people can live with, though I don't think the "coward" will come forward.

I certainly hope people can live with it because they must. Yes people jump off bridges as well... I am wondering if Guru Caver is even a cave diver...after looking at some of his other posts all he seems to do is attempt to incite, definitely a troll. Hmmm, maybe i have banning power![]()
