I cooked those in vegetable oil, just to even things out.

I think that everyone who dived on New Year's Eve and everyone who came to the New Year's Day Social had a great time.
Many thanks are due to MichaelAngelo who cooked for us on both occasions and to Lynne and Russell who made things go smoothly.
Thanks are also due to the dive shops and manufacturers who supported the events with donations:
Divers Direct Orlando - Apeks spring heel fins (won by Stephanie Thomas)
Note to Stephanie: If they are the wrong size, Divers Direct will exchange them for the right size.
Underwater Kinetics - 450 lumen dive light with hand mount (won by Barbara amEnde)
This prize led to some one-upmanship about who has the oldest UK light - I think it was I with a 25 year old Mini Q40.
Ikelite - 500 lumen LED hand held dive light (won by Amanda Griffin)
More one-upmanship: Sludge's 35 year old Mini C beat my 30 year old.
Big Blue Lights - 450 lumen dive light with hand mount and pouch (won by Celia Evesque)
Adventure Scuba in North Miami - McNett gear care kit (won by Savanna Barnes)
DAYO Scuba - tableware for the barbecues, glow sticks, spools (won by Chad Minter and MichaelAngelo), and bungie cord
Cave Country Dive Shop - a spool (won by Brent Summerland), a hoodie, and a hat
NSS-CDS - 3 books (won by Stacy Rogers, Chris Garguilo, and Allen Smith)
Extreme Exposure - deluxe logbook (won by Chris Hartman), 2 deluxe mask straps
    Amigo's Dive Center - 2 T-shirts and a cap
    Dive Outpost - 2 T-shirts
My apologies, I don't remember who won the clothing items.

If memory serves, the first person to ask about it is automatically elected as the Galaxy Dive coordinator. Thanks for volunteering! If you pester Sludge, I'm sure he'd gladly offer you pointers on who to call, what to ask for and what you should get people to bring.

Actually had this conversation with Sludge.... sadly he says it takes a 2 month lead to get the preparations in place (what ever those are) But that we should see something happen for 2022.
