Default you gotta be kidding me...

Kelly I see you edited Jax's post, the point is, the mod post itself is unnecessary. I do appreciate that you tried to make it less preacher-y but since this thread hadn't even started to come close to any line until the mod post derailed the thread, can we acknowledge it was misguided and move on?

Do you think it would be OK to share a "random" and potentially "unrelated" FB post?

Agreed. Which is a sad state of affairs that we cant call people on their s--t nowadays without fear. Though if the facts are 100% accurate I doubt the instructor would have a leg to stand on, but who wants the headache.

I do applaud cmint. So many people complain about things they see but never comfront the person. I would only hope people would call me out in person if I exhibited poor skills or choices while diving.

I get not wanting to post the name publicly, but the people who saw this need to report it to the agencies that the guy is an instructor with because he clearly either doesn't give a damn about his students, or doesn't understand the environment enough to be teaching the material.

Obviously this instructor is acting in a dangerous manner. Why should he not be properly reprimanded for it? If I had any confidence that PADI would actually do anything, then maybe my sentiment would be different, but I'm sure nothing will come of it through PADI.
I agree 100%, but there are agency rules that govern what you can publicly say about another agency, or instructor.

He can still report the offender to the training agency, and he has called the offender out, in a sense, because the offender knows who he is. I don't disagree with your thoughts on the subject, I just don't want the Good Samaritan gigged if he's an instructor, or sued in any case.

A moderator posts a comment as a moderator that then has to be moderated by another moderator. That don't sound right.

    This is ignorant.

I remember a "See something, say something" thread where so many people said what they would do....blah, blah, blah.

    Here. Is. Your. Freaking. Chance.

Get off your arse, you holier than thou.

    Don't post it. DO it.

    Jesus....

PS: would the letter have been longer than the post?
