It was one of the better ones that I have attended. The weather could not have been better. I had company from Kentucky that attended for the first time and they really enjoyed themselves. I had told them what I was doing for New Years Eve and they ask if they could attend. After getting the OK I sent them the food list for them to signup. Now they were all open water certified and had strong reservations about going into the Ball Room.
I told them the Ball Room is considered OW even thou to me it is overhead and they agreed to follow me in. This was done before the Galaxy dive and they really enjoyed the view and rock formations. When it came time for the Galaxy dive they knew what the drill was. After the dive they couldn't quit talking about the way the glow juice mixed with the water.
On New Years Day I took the group and let them swim from Little Devil and over the Eye and let them rest at the ledge looking down into the Ear. The group got to see cave divers suiting up and what gear was required and how different it was from lake or ocean diving. Education being done by show and tell.

Yeh, I'm planning that for 2016/17. This was the best New Year's ever!

I echo everyone's thanks, especially thanks to the behind-the-scenes volunteers. A special mention goes to MichaelAngelo for climbing out of a 148 minutes dive (including deco) in time to cook dinner for everyone.

Yeah, MA was Da Man! When he volunteered to be the cook my week got a whole lot easier!

BAH! I hate that I missed it this year.

Russell, last year I took my fins off and it was much easier to wedge myself in place. Terrible form, but it's probably the one place no one cares.

That's because I cooked the veggie burger in Bacon grease.
