Hear ye, hear ye! We need a cook!

BobK called and said he's not going to be able to make the social this year. He's been our cook for ages.

We need someone to step forward and volunteer to be the grillmaster. If worse comes to worst, I'll do it, but I can't grill worth a toot. I'm a barbecue sort of guy. (You know, wood fires and smoke and all that.)

You didn't mention the perks of being a grillmaster at a CDF Social! You get memories that last a lifetime. Good ones and not so good ones. The last CDF Social that I cooked at still reminds me of something that happened. After most of us finished eating, some drunk tubers wandered over to the pavilion. They were hungry and asked if they could have something to eat. We were full, and no one objected, so I gave each of them a hot dog. One of the girls dropped her hot dog on the pavilian cement - where lots of people had walked (over by the keg). She picked up the hot dog and said "God made dirt and dirt doesn't hurt.". Then she proceeded to eat the hot dog! How many people remember that? I probably wouldn't if I wasn't cooking that day.

Well the it looks like I am out. I was trimming the neck seal on my brand new drysuit at it simply split in two place 90 degrees to the neck openning. It was going to be the first dive on the new suit. I guess I need to work on a plan B!
