Here are links to two threads from last year's social, so folks can get an idea how we do these. (I locked them both and put a disclaimer at the beginning so people wouldn't confuse them with this year's.)

If we are going to do an all day thing I can call around to the local dive shops and see if everyone will donate something we can do some raffles, also. What do you think?

I threw this together... as we have more information I can add it... I can also add shops logos that are sponsoring or giving away items. What do you guys think? What would you like to see added to it?

We need to avoid a raffle - they're illegal if not for a registered non-profit. (I know, people do them all the time, but they're still illegal.) Let's stick with donated door prizes.

If you put up posters, mention "Little Devil Pavilion" because there's another one closer to Devil's Ear/Eye. Also, mention going to this site to sign up for what to bring. I'll start a "who's bringing what" page later today.

Marissa, I'll get an administrator to give you the title "Social Director." I'd do it, but I'm just a lowly moderator.

Edit: if someone wants to do a raffle on behalf of the NSS-CDS or NACD, I don't believe that would break any laws.

Talked to Kathy who is in charge of groups at Ginnie a few minutes ago, she is going to pull the file from last year and see what they can do for us this year. I also let them know that we'd like to reserve the Little Devil Pavilion for New Years Eve and see what kind of deal they can give us. I brought up the 2 days of diving for 1 like last year so we will see what they say!

Received this letter today! Looks like we are good to go! We have both pavilions reserved. And two days of diving for the price of one!

    Hi Marissa,

Hope you’re having a good day. I touched base with Rose on the Cave
Divers Forum New Year’s Eve Party 2011.

We have reserved the New Devils Eye and New Ginnie Pavilions for you on
Saturday, December 31st, 2011. The pavilions are available for Cave
Divers Forum to use at no charge. You will still need to sign some
    paperwork.

As per our conversation it looks like you’ll be at the New Devils Eye
Pavilion Saturday morning until around 4:00 pm (m/l) and then moving
over to the New Ginnie Pavilion around 6:00 pm until midnight (?).
All must be out of the park by 1:00 am New Year’s morning. Is your
Galaxy Dive at midnight or before?

The pavilions have electric and water, serving and picnic tables and
normally have a large smoker charcoal grill. Let me know if need two
    grills at the pavilions.

The fees for the day are $30.00 per diver or $22.00 for certified cave
    divers, $12.00 for non-divers and $3.00 for non-diving kids 7-14 years
    old.

As in the past Ginnie Springs will offer your guests diving all day
    December 31st, 2011 and all day January 1st, 2012 for $30.00. Guests
will need to register for both days of diving when they arrive on
    Saturday.

The shop and air station should be open until 8:00 pm New Year’s Eve
and open at 8:00 am on Sunday. The guests who registered to dive on
Sunday can arrive as early as they like. They would have already
received their car pass and wrist band.

I think that covers it. Please let me know if I have missed something.

GOOD LUCK and have a great day.
