I was diving with Thomas in la Jeringa a few years ago, Thomas wanted to go up to check out the small air pocket of the junction room I had a bit of sinus trouble so I signaled I would stay at depth and wit for him, he went up and about 4-5 mins latter the whole cave started to shake really hard, similar to when bubbles hit "sensitive and loud" cave ceilings but this was much louder and the whole cave ceiling and walls were kind of vibrating not a lot but still.
This went away in about 15-20secs and I moved over to the air pocket side in case of a collapse and was thinking the exact same thing, "I should be doing something different"
Thomas came back down and we continued the dive, after surfacing he too confirmed he heard and felt the cave shake a bit, I am not 100% sure but I think it was a small earthquake of which there are many here, there was a 6.7 near my house in 2004 and Thomas and I almost went diving the day the big one hit in Haiti and we definitely felt that one around here.

Earthquakes are to cave diving what big sea urchins are to surfing.

I think that was me. I was teaching a class, and was thinking holy crap what did you do.

    Is Soviet way, is good.

Edd was there 7/7 with a full cave class. On an exit, he pointed out a what is now, a large new fissure in the ceiling. He said it would probably let loose sometime between now and a hundred years.

Check the first post, he said at the chimney. Some people don't call it that, but it is where the line goes almost straight down, 100' or so from the entrance.

One of our tennessee caves has a big flat chunk of rock, a slab the as big as a motel room, maybe 2 feet thick, lying on top of a tree trunk. It's a reminder. Further in there's a nice long wide passage, 20 feet top to bottom and in the middle of the passage is a lone pyramid shaped rock, big as a full-grown man. On a clear day, you can look up and see the pyramid-shaped depression it once occupied. caves are alive. they breath, they move, they change.

Actually about p250'. The gold line doesn't begin until p110'.

Some one said it was a small rock that broke loose. I measured it today at about 40' wide. It changes the decent a bit. It's more vertical now.
