    Kevin,
If you'd been in there close when it came down would you clean your drysuit or buy a new one? I think I'd just buy a new one?
Glad no one was hit by it. I remember Grady dislodging that boulder on me in Avalanche Alley. Almost buried me in the mud. I had so much gas in my wing when I finally figured out what was wrong, I dumped the rock off my doubles and stuck to the ceiling. Grady was like, what the ..ll? All good if you live. Stories to tell!
    Thanks,

The rock is HUGE its about 40x20x4. If you poke your head up into the air pocket and look back to the cavern zone you can see a very large crack and deeper divers air is being forced up through it...it's only a matter of time for more to come down.

Gives you something to think about when you are in King's Bypass.
BTW, wouldn't be a bad idea to learn the detour around the chimney. LOL

If cave diving were Star Wars, who would be Yoda?

Smile Look before you leap ! O____________________O

One of the things I learned early on in the overhead, is to do just that ! Look over your head before making your commitment to an extended dive. I was making a solo dive in Bonnet when i noticed some huge boulders on the ceiling about to come down. It woke me up to this fact ! Same goes for the lower OG & Woody J will attest to this. Some systems are more vulnerable than others. LOOK, before you continue. If it appears to collapse, call it. If you think it to be a -go- around, calculate the risk first.
Just a word from someone who's seen it.
    Take care & dive safe.

One day ...............for Sludge & Pink Arrow & TJ & FW.....& all the rest ! party !
    TBA !

Young siphon is not a back mount option.

That being said has anyone ever thought of establishing a measurement that constitutes what is and what is not bm. And then at the point in the passage place a designated marker that indicates such. This way people don't wonder in and get themselves stuck. It could be a very distinct marker that feels no other.

    Just a thought

You have to remember that most caves only have one way in or out. They can dive Youngs Siphon but they wont fit if they try to get back in the cavern. I would HOPE that anyone diving full cave level can look and tell that they wont fit in a certain passage.

Except for those of us who have gained more weight than we care to admit.
