    Default HITW and Twin conditions?

Finally going to make it to the millpond for the first time ever. How's HITW and Twin looking?

Is there anything else in the area we should check out? Fl Caverns SP is on the list. Anything else?

Bozel is an amazing cave if you are sidemount and don't mind a short canoe trip

Bozel is blown. It won't be descent till the river drops to around 9'. It will take it a while to clear up as there is a sinkhole in the back that the river fills up. Here is the link for the river guage.

Mattachuk will still be good as well as Ebro Blue. You will need a boat for them. There are some other cool river caves in the area but until the rivers drop they will not be good.

    Default HITW & Twin

Twin is slightly dusty but good 30-40 vis throughout, clearing the deeper you go. 68F, not much flow.

HITW was ~20' all week, but clears wonderfully as you go in. 65F. I called it freaking cold, but I am a wimp. Pull and drag through the entry.

HITW generally clears up when you get in the Century Tunnel or make the turn into Consolation Corridor. There is a lot more to Twin than most people realize. The old map of Twin is way out of date. If you are scootering I would recommend the Stratosphere in Jb as well as King's Canyon. In HITW I would recommend checking out Sheck's champagne bottle and Consolation Corridor is an awesome dive. If you want something smaller Gator Hole and Hidi Hole are cool. Indian Washtub is a wetsuit sm dive unless you are really small. I am guessing it is pretty bad viz as I was told it was blowing muddy water a few weeks ago. Lots of cool stuff in the area that is for sure. If you are glutting for punishment Devil's Hole is back open and pumping like crazy. It doesn't blow so it will be in good shape.

I was in Twin after the heavy rains but haven't been this week. It was dive-able, but not super clear. The bad water was coming from the east, so if you head towards the terminal room you find clear water. We haven't had much rain since, so I expect conditions to be improving.

Hole upstream is clearing really nicely. Goldline around 500 ft gets really good, before that it is hazy but still 30ish ft of vis. After 500 it depends on depth, clear on top hazy on the bottom. Stay high in the rooms and the views are awesome. Century tunnel is a bit the same in the front with the high/low layers, but all clear in the back.

Hole downstream is not that good. Swimming the first 1500, vis is in the 20-30 range with a smoky tint to it. Doable, but hard to really appreciate what you are seeing It is going to take awhile for the main passage to clear up, but it is trying as it is flowing decently.
