    Default Twin

We dove Twin last night. Viz was outstanding, and a slight flow was present. We did the deep section and took a jump for a nice swim until turnaround time. Bonus was the Gheenoe ride up and down the Millpond, especially the dusk return trip. What a great way to unwind after a day at work, I really cherish these midweek dives.

Sent from behind a pint of Guinness.

Bil, I'm on second shift, but if you keep teasing with midweek dive stories I'm going to try and get to 1st odd .

40'+ visibility yesterday, also a very slight flow. Lovely out there on the water for our SI, feels a lot better than at JB when it's that hot.

I couldn't help but notice your site. I was the one that found the Antillothrix Bernisis in La Jeringa - http://www.advanceddivermagazine.com...illothrix.html

Also, I am on my way to NOLA this weekend...LOL

Would you mind posting a conditions report for Twin? - http://www.caveatlas.com/systems/system.asp?ID=81

Walter, you should let me know in advance next time. We've spent enough time on the phone. Anyway, I'll be leaving on Thursday for Marianna and Madison this weekend. Good timing. If I get to Twin, I'll post a report.

Hi Walter, yes, you guys really started something! I'll go post that now. Let me know when you're in town again, this weekend I'll be in Missouri but I'd love to have a beer with you some time.

    Cheers,

We're planning on diving Twin Caves and Hole in the Wall when we visit in November.

We haven't been to either before, although we have dived Jackson Blue a few times.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's really straightforward. Rent a boat from Edd's (you can reserve one well in advance if you want to be guaranteed a boat). When you get there the guys in the shop will load the boat with all of your gear, make sure it's running and will point you in the right directions. Both are pretty easy dives. Nothing crazy to worry about if you're skills are good. The boats are big enough to gear up on, and the platforms at the site make everything easy.

2 hints: tip the guys in the shop for lugging your tanks down to the water for you and don't let random german guys on the boat with you.

Almost covered my keyboard with pretty good bourbon.

You guys are really funny, LOL.

I've been in Twin a couple of times, it's a beautiful cave. Hole in the Wall is too, but Twin is my favorite. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, I can also provide you with a couple of Gopro videos.
And just in case you plan to scooter, I would recommend this here:
