I picked up the spearfishing DVD at the event. The UCF Dive Club did an incredible job organizing it, but I was looking for the gold line running from Parking D to the Bldg 1 with a couple of line arrows attached. You guys did great tonite!

Becky and David, thanks for a excellent presentation and some wild video of the Tiger Sharks and getting into Weeki Wachee with that firehose force flow! Learned something new to watch for when spearfishing around tigers, "Nictitating membranes".

    Becky & Dave-

On behalf of myself, Gibby, and all of the club members I would like to thank you guys. You guys put together a well prepared, well rehearsed presentation that has resulted in multiple members sending me thank you notes on Facebook and AIM. If any dive club is debating bringing you guys in for a presentation, feel free to give them my phone number as a reference, you guys were well worth the money and effort (petitioning for funds and rooms, not you guys!) it took to bring you here!

    Everyone else-

This was the most attended event in the history of the dive club here at UCF. Our school has seen great expansion over the past 5-10 years, and it's always fun to invite the community on campus to see how we've grown. The positive support from the cave diving community was huge, people from Dayo Scuba, Cave Excursions East, and Spruce Creek Scuba were in attendance. We also had members from the two well documented exploration teams in Florida, WKPP and Weeki Wachee. Several UCF professors assisted in the paperwork and inviting their classes. When an event like this is put on, it's very rewarding to see such support, and makes all the work behind the scenes to organize it worth it.

I hope everyone had a great time. We're going to attempt one more event this semester if we can work out dates with a guest speaker we have in mind. Please feel free to PM me if you know of any other events. I'm graduating this semester, but would like to leave the next set of officers something to start off with!
