It's Scandinavian or Finnish, maybe Norweigan...anyway it kinda means "Oh Boy!"

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Yep - one of those handy all-purpose utterances that can have a wide variety of meanings depending on the context, the inflection, and the tone of voice or accompanying gestures.

At least that's what I believe from listening to Jeano!

Glad to hear that the inundation of Luraville is subsiding...

Mike and Mike get a cookie (SMILE)...
It DOES mean OH BOY !!!!
(too many years up in N.D/Minnesota , don't ya know , fer sure .. UFFDA !!!! ) smile

Mike M: Talked to Cathy this morning and there some pooling of water around the back yard area BUT so far so good. I guess the water is up near Bill's back yard. Kind of scary last weekend watch the water 1/2 way from the bridge up thru the woods towards Luraville. (EEK)

SO FAR , it looks like there are going to make it ... But I'll wait till it gets back down under flood stage till I relax. (SMILE)

As to the pooling in Bill's backyard, that reminds me of the house in the new sub division on the right shortly before you cross the blue bridge heading toward Luraville.

There's a mini-McMansion on stilts in that sub division.....I remember chuckling last month when I noticed the house. I'm not chuckling anymore! I'm impressed he was thinking ahead!!

I wonder if he has cleats on his deck for flood punts???

There are 3 kinds of people in this world; those who are good at math, and those who are not.

I think we're going to be okay since it looks like it will peak at less than the predictions. How about you? Has Peacock leveled off yet? Judging by those pictures if it gets much closer you will be able to gear up on your front deck!
