I heard N.E Florida was the lightning capitol of the world.Extensive research is conducted at Camp Blanding on the subject.I have lost three trees to it on my property myself.

I believe it. I was in the process of strapping 130's on my back right before we decided to head to the shelter. That could have been a bad day. The crazy thing is that there were two RB divers in the system at the time and one of them reported feeling a shock when they were going up the line to the godzilla room. He thought it might have been his light but once we told him about the lightning he thought it may have been from the strike.

    Report from the RB Diver:

    Default Madison

We dove Madison today. From the rabbit hole to martz sink and back. Great dive. Vis was about 60'.
Just watch out for the crowd of swimmers; they arrived around 11 today.

Dove it today and the viz was still good enough. There were a bunch of divers (including us) and we opted to swim the mainline instead of the Godzilla/Banana Room line to avoid the crowd (seems everyone went there...).

The swimmers are out en force with the heat. We dove Little River yesterday (and it was also very crowded with divers- about 10 at a time in the cave!) and the swimmers and their loud boomboxes were there as well. The viz at LR was not bad but the water has a definite greenish tint to it..

    Dive safe,

We arrived early ... By the time we got out around 1 PM, the place was packed with swimmers.

Kevin made an impression on the little kids by finding a pink watch a girl just dropped and a rosary !

The dive was great ... Definetely looking at diving this site again. Anybody knows of good places to stay around there ?
