Yes, a lot of swimmers but they were polite and we had the cave ALL to ourselves, the viz was much better today than last week.

Thanks Mike, I may try and take a trip down this week..... lots of variables still playing into the mix though....for the time being, I will just have to play it by ear.....

Were you one of the two divers on the megs getting out while we were getting in?

There is flow but nothing you cannot swim against. Nothing comparable to what you can see at the Devil's
We had 3 days of extremely good diving, just had to keep an eye on the kids so that they would not end up trying our bottles

The swimming crowd seems to get bigger every time I go. It isn't bad if you get there first thing in the morning though. Personally, I think I will just use Martz sink as my entry and exit point next time I'm there.

During my last dive there, the people who were jumping off the platform were coming a bit close for comfort while I was doing my stops. I took a kick to the head while swimming to the stairs and then had to weave through the crowds to get up the stairs. I try to be a good representative for cave divers and be polite, but sometimes I just have to tell people to move. It is like they are completely oblivious.

Being amicable does pay off though, in exchange for answering the obligatory "what do you see in the cave", one guy helped me carry my bottles up to my truck.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Yes, I only saw a young lady bringing bottles down. I was trying to keep away from the bubbly little girls asking about the cave, they were funny...

Hope you had a great dive, we did, even though my buddy Brian's main light sort of crapped out. He just mumbled an expletive and deployed his LED Photon Torpedo, very cool b/u, next to my 18 W HID it still could be seen and he would have been able to signal me easily...
