Very active effort to get Indian open by cave divers, and the issue there is land for sale. The hypothetical cave(s) closure will be devastating because it is an awesome dive-we lost the Grand Canyon.

Rumor control:
* Yes diving at Diepolder is suspended.
* Yes this was precipitated after an individual was declined a dive and proceeded to contact the landowner and demanded the guide situation be "looked into" among other requests and accusations.
* The Diepolder guides are working with the land owner to restore access and negotiations are ongoing but slow.
* Harassing this individual does nothing to portray the cave community in a positive light.
* People stirring things up to settle personal grievances or create drama are not helping and can be harmful.
* If there is something you could do to help restore access you probably are already involved or we will reach out to you at the appropriate time.
Once a final decision is made on the future of diving at Diepolder everyone will know.

Bob, thank you for providing relevant information. This has been a "hushed" subject and that has been growing momentum, and tremors were already finding their way to social media. Allowing it to appear on social media in a controlled manner is not optimal, but better than it becoming a slanderfest. I agree portraying the cave diving community positively is important and having good land owner relations are important, so there is nothing to be gained by vilifying anybody.
