To be clear, my comments were not directed to the OP specifically.
More to the community at large who pretends they would intervene but really does nothing.
Shoe fit? It was not a beat up session by goal.

I appreciate this thread and wish the discussion to go on.
Question- pictures post #s 56,58,60,72, and 73- not sure of the relevance to the thread, but has the photographer granted permission to use these pictures?

Kelly maybe because they show potentially dangerous acts? Sub optimal gear set up can lead to fatalities, cave damage and accidents. Maybe they need more posts of how not to dive so people know how to dive. God knows I had my issues starting out.I wear my scars with pride though because I learned some hard lessons. I might have been upset with the people at the moment but now looking back on things I am forever grateful that people had enough guts to speak up and tell me what I was doing wrong and what I could do to make it better. I hold no ill will and I certainly hope people will still call me out if I'm doing something wrong. It's how we learn. Hell I will be the first to call myself out if I know I look like crap or am doing something wrong.
Since I know you preach cave conservation harder than most, I'm surprised you don't see the relevance. The gear configurations on these are horrible and I'm not afraid to say it. This my friends contributes to damage in these wonderful environments. Again, problems with
'mentors'
'teaching'
My apologies if the pictures did not provide a visual aid or add to the general discussion or sentiment of this thread.
Please feel free to delete or edit as necessary.
As for permission, the pics were pulled from FB, and while I could be wrong, I believe once a photo is uploaded to FB, it becomes fair game.
I was careful to leave the photographers signature / watermark on the photo so that all due credit could be given.
I probably just need to go diving and spend less time trolling the interwebs.
