Default What else could I add to my website, or my CV, to make my services more attractive?

I have been using Squarespace to build my website and am almost finished.

    [IMG][/IMG]

    This is the homepage.
All the other pages are pretty detailed.
I have inc pictures of the cenotes as well as videos that I have created.

Is there anything missing that might make my services appear more attractive, or my website seem more professional?

I am a PADI OWSI, level 2 comm diver, and soon to be cave certified.
I was thinking of doing an equipment servicing course.
I guess if nothing else I can learn more about basic regs and fix simple problems.

Is there anything else I could learn to improve my business?
I was thinking of creating a facebook page as well.

    TIA.

I don't argue with people on the internet. Sorry dude, I have things to do.

Traveling divers want to dive. I would suggest trying to keep some kind of schedule. Also, I know of no agency that allows anything less than a cavern instructor to be in a cavern with an open water diver, (usually advanced OW). Rather than bring a diver into a cavern based on his/her experience, I would unwaiveringly (is that a word?) abide and adhere to the standards of the agency I am representing. If the owner of the cave and your competition allow open water divers to penetrate 300' with a dive Master they are violating standards and are uninsured at that point. Of course not all standards are created equal! What agency do you represent?

Sorry for the agitated response. I have been looking at some of the qualifications of the of the "guides" down in mexico lately and I cannot fathom how they do it. Perhaps some one can enlighten me.

Why is that? Some people want to wake up sleep in and no one down here has a set schedule as far as going to X and Y on monday tues etc.

    Myself.

    How they do what?
Its not hard to lead people through a cavern which has a line running through it.
Most people follow set standards, but you can dive anywhere in the world and you will find people doing whatever they want.
And in case you didnt realize, most people fake it till they make it. Some never stop faking it, some never have to to begin with.

I have to admit I know nothing about Mexico. My only experience is in Florida where someone comes up for the weekend and they want to be cavern certified when they leave Sunday. Are you guys perhaps hiring?

I know that about the the divers but you as the guide have standards that dictate where you can bring a non-cavern trained diver, NO? Any way I am PM you a link to my website it might give you some more ideas. The cavern thing should be another thread. BTW I would work for burritos and Marguaritas!

Yes you should follow the standards but many do not.
And that as I said, is common everywhere I have dived (except Queensland which is ridiculously strict).

It could be 2 or 3 months before things are up and running.
