I can believe that. It's an intriguing description though, is't it?
I don't know, maybe this is the other end of one of the portholes of the Bermuda Triangle. I've seen some pretty strange things in Susquehanna County.
It sure must be if it's sucking in trains. But if it was that strong the vortex would be so deep at the surface that it would be known as a toilet bowl instead of a punchbowl.
My brother-in-law Billy Bob has a truck with a big winch on the front of it. Here, hold my beer while I get him to lower me in there to see how deep it is....

I know this an old post..but is this the old Camp Susquehanna site..? My brother was on staff there many years ago.

How did I miss this? The car is already packed. Let's go!
Yes I was referring to Camp Susquehanna in the original post, but no the site is not on the former camp property. The site I was referring to, known to the locals as the Devil's Punchbowl, is up a dirt road outside of Lanesboro. We used to call it the Cascades. Beautiful waterfalls surrounded the bowl.
When was your brother there? My father bought the camp in 1963. I was just in Montrose a couple of weeks ago.
