I currently live in PA and dive Dutch Springs and Bainbridge, as mentioned earlier. there is also Willow Springs. http://www.willowspringspark.com/ that is only 54 ft deep, but has some really nice stuff in it including the Quest, a large boat that is used for wreck dive classes. there is also a "cave" in it, but it is a man made tunnel from when it was still an active quarry. but it is not on the quarry map they give out. you sorta have to know where it is to enter it.
I will volunteer to be labor to take tanks/gear into places if need be. just PM me.

I will be in PA this Friday until next Thursday. Is there any where to dive near Pittsburgh or Latrobe? I am also in need of a dive buddy. Can any one point me in the right direction.

The only 2 places i know near there are Deep Creek (http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...creeklake.html ) in Md and Mt Storm ( http://www.mtstorm.com/ )in Northern WV. Both are OW. Mt Storm is about 120 ft deep and due to it being a cooling pond for the power plant, it stays warm year long.

hey, up here, wet is wet. I am diving Memorial lake this weekend, it is only 25 ft, but within 10 minutes of my house, so I can work on boyancy and not silting things up since the bottom is covered in particulate matter.

Okay, time to see if there may be any more information out there. This is a comment that was on a link that my brother found and sent me:

"...reported to be bottomless. Numerous vehicles including trains that have derailed are rumored to be lost inside it. Reports of people diving from the nearby cliff/ledge and never resurfacing are told locally. There is an alleged undertow in the body of water that 'suctions' objects and people into the uncharted depths. Scuba divers have attempted to find the bottom without success."

    Anybody else curious?

According to Jacques Cousteau, in one of his early books, "The average depth of a 'bottomless lake', all around the world, is 5 meters"

I am not sure the Bermuda Triangle extends to Pennsylvania

It sounds like a serious syphon, you better dive 1/6ths.....
