Sludge, How come your puppy quit running? Did you forget to leave food in his bowl on your last dive trip to Cave Country?

I would love to talk to. You in person about me being a coward.
Wow! I would love to meet you, but so I could demonstrate my humble ability to pick up other's trash when I can, especially when I know it is trash of other divers. Perhaps coward was the wrong word, but I do still think you need to get over yourself. So I humbly apologize for you being militarily offended by the term I chose, and do hope to run into you some day soon when I get the chance to do some FL diving again. Perhaps we can make a dive together, after which I can show you how painless it is to pick up a couple used catheters on the way back to the vehicles.

I guess as a Marine you've never had to pick up anothers trash. I guess doing that is probably beneath you or is somehow degrading to you. You probably have no problem having the junior Marines pick up trash that isn't theirs do you. Apparently you're not used to being challenged either, as soon as WJH did, you immediatly jump to wanting to fix it with violence. Way to be the bigger person. Way to portray being a "Marine" in a positive light.
who said anything about violence. and actuaky I will never ask my marines to do anything i am not or have not done myself. I pick up others trash all the time. just not used condoms. If I had gloves or something to pick it up with no problem. guess after a dive i am not anxious to look around for something to pick it up with. I am sorry if I offended any one on this site or gave off the impression that I think I am better then anyone. that is not the case at all. and for instance when as marines we have to clean up I never make the smokers pick up cigarette buts, I make the smokers pick them up. I am also sorry you have such a scewed view on the military. you say that we are above some thing or not used to being challenged clearly show that you have the wrong impression of the Marine Corps. Now to attempt to keep this civil and put an end to this bantering. I do not feel I am above anyone. I do not think it is beneth me to pick up a cath. I find it discusting but not demeaning. And to say I refuse to pick them up was possibly not the best choice of words because I have infact picked them up before. now if anyone else wishes again to directly insult me or the nature of the USMC as stated please let me know but comming up to me at JB(no violence needed) as stated above I am pretty eassy to find, lets talk it over make a couple dives together and maybe after which I can change your opinion of view on myself and the Marine Corps. As stated before between Iraq.afghanistan, somolia, and other places I have had enough violence in my short years and see no reason to carry it over into mu hobbies.

When I was a kid, I dropped my knife in the toilet, but I didn't want to reach in to get it. My mother called me a "lilly livered little coward". Since that time, I pick up whatever it is, from wherever it is, and just wash my hands afterward.

I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer in my car. Comes in handy after picking up after sloppy divers. And for that matter, for after removing and disposing of my own catheters!

That's so very wrong. Not that you have to pick the items up bare-handed to begin with. No physical contact = no chance of infection.
