Damn, I don't particularly care for the current resident of the white house, but I'd stop way short of carving stuff in rock about it. I just put bumper stickers on the back of my car.

This cave vandalism needs to stop - prosecute one person and make it very public - I bet it stops fast.

Angry A few letters ought to be carved in his hide!

Here's hoping for rapid apprehension of this worthless dirtbag, and swift and severe punishment.

It was there when we did our afternoon dive at 1:15pm. Even with the basin vis being what it was, the vandalism was easily seen. What we saw was on the rocks, fairly shallow, on the right side looking down from the steps.

I vote for having the perpetrator (him or her) go down and fix their mess - no scuba gear, just a couple cement blocks and some duct tape. Are there any gators in OG? I've not been there in over a year.

The writing was easily visible to us just after we entered the water from the steps and was in about 8' to 10' of water. A group of 5 OW divers had just exited and were in the parking lot as we were setting up to start our dive...simply something observed.

Not only was Obama's name mentioned but it was preceded with a word I care not to repeat. The "N" word was also written with a curse word preceeding it.

Fortunately the rock written on was quite soft and a harder small rock was used to remove most or all of the writing.

We had no way to know when this was done but it appeared to be very fresh. Our dive times were 1:16pm to 2:19pm on Saturday the 15th of May.

    This may be easy:

I dove OG 10 am -1 pm. Only 1-2 classes: laying line in the cavern. Poor viz.
Seems like a narrow window but with the poor viz, I was quick in the cave and out.

All the divers I saw were with a class.

    Lets interview everyone?
    Including me.....

Thisis just so out of line, whever did this shouldget all c cards revoked and be banned from all caves. If he or she gets caught, I think the name/names of the perpetrators should be distributed to as many dive shops and organizations as possible etc.. So that all dive shops, instructors etc.. Know not to deal with him/her in any way.

I was there last Thursday with a student. The damage is in about 15ft of water near the stairs. There was a group of divers before us, 3 guys one did lower OG by himself I am guessing and the other two looked to be OW. It looked really fresh. one of the guys has a landrover or range rover that is blue. I was at peacock on wednesday also and there was a cavediver who looked like he was diving the OW with his son.

    Is Soviet way, is good.
