Little River Status?

Does anyone know if LR is open? If so what are the conditions? Thinking about coming down next week.

I doubt that it is open, but I would bet the current is very high, looking at the rate the river is falling. With the rain in GA today, that may not last long, though.

Gate was still closed two days ago...I'll look at it later today and post what I find...last look was the entrance road was still flooded but the parking lot was dry...Ken

and you can always go to Marianna where Twin, Hole, and JB are reported open.

I drove by Little River yesterday 10 March. Gates to the park were closed ...I think largely due to water over the park entry road at the low point before the parking lot. As to the spring ...forget about it! You can't even see the top of the stone wall and there was no apparent boil.The entire spring was an extremely dark tannic water. This will not be diveable in the near future in my opinion....three weeks at least.

I just looked at the river levels, they are starting to come up way upstream. At best, the current rate of levels faling will level off. At worst, that may rise again, because more rain is coming to GA

Little River has been open for almost a week, but the water levels are still up to the landing
on the stairs. Someone needs to dive it and tell me how cold it is.
