I didn't "get" the name until I looked at the sand. It's filled with what look like sparkly pieces of rock aka diamonds everywhere. Doesn't really show up in pictures, but it's quite the sight!

Can anyone tell me anything about the jump just past diamond sands? I've heard that it goes to a terminal room and no one ever found anything that went past that. how far is it to that room, and what is the tunnel like leading up to it?

yeah, I looked at the pics and it is definitely the same tunnel, but it seems to me that we have different definitions of what requires nomount...

I've never done that tunnel... but in my experience, until you get in there yourself, you won't know how little/big it actually is...
