    Default Madison and Peacock update

The USGS gauges have shown a rapid drop at Madison, so at this point it is flushing out tannic water,so we are checking on condition updates. Peacock, and the gauges up river of Peacock are dropping very slowly. I suspect the water from the Withlacoochee is keeping the Suwannee at higher levels presently. NFSA

    Thanks for the update.

I'm headed down there in a few weeks and have been getting anxious.

I would still make contingencies. With dropping levels, it can sometimes take weeks for the water to clear to meet diving minimums, and even then it can be 20-30ft when the sites do open. There is some forecasted rain for south Georgia , and we are heading into a rainy period. Important to be flexible with your diving schedule

That is because you are shivering so much from that 55 degree water, you can't see beyond 15ft anyway.
