    Default WTB: Scooter

I lost my N19 in the ocean last week and am looking for a replacement scooter. I would like another N19 with a good battery, or maybe a Cuda if the price is right. I'd consider pretty much anything other than a Sierra with a good price.
I do about half ocean, half cave dives so an N19 is a reasonable compromise with a fresh battery. A Gavin with a short tube and 26 would probably work also.

I'll be in North Florida around Memorial Day weekend and could pick up there.

Let me know what you have and how much. Feel free to PM or email.

I had it clipped off to my gear line (with two different clips) but it managed to escape.

If you loose a scooter at some caves, it will end up in the ocean anyway

Nope. I tried calling my homeowners insurance agent, but he said simple loss wouldn't be covered.
That's why I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive.

Has anyone heard of anyone getting insurance to pay for scooter loss?

Don't know about scooters specifically, but all my dive gear (no scooter yet) is covered under a policy from Dan that has worked pretty well.

I started doing that primarily for u/w photo gear, but went ahead and put almost every dive related item on it.

Over the years, it has more than paid for itself.

If you're not a "dive professional," your scuba gear should be covered by your homeowner's insurance. If your agent balks, jump up and down. It SHOULD be covered.

Now would be a good time to shop around for another insurance company. (State Farm has covered every claim my family has ever made.)
