Mission & Purpose:

The purpose of the Cave Diver's Forum is to provide a place on the internet for civil discussions of anything cave diving related. The Cave Diver's Forum and all its sections is a not for profit, all volunteer organization. Special emphasis will also be placed on conservation, research and the exchange of ideas, techniques and opinions on all things related to cave diving, to include any overhead and related technical diving. Freedom to post ones ideas, comments, opinions and humor is a major aspect of the forum. It is an international, online organization.


Disclaimer:

This web site is not a place to learn how to cavern or cave dive. This web site will contain many comments, stories, reports, and opinions. People that post should be careful, responsible, and mature, both in their posts and how they use anything they read here. Moderators do not monitor the accuracy of the content of threads posted here, and the opinions posted herein are personal opinions, and as such can be misleading and/or inaccurate. Entry into any overhead environment without proper training and equipment can get one killed. Opinions and comments posted onto this forum are those of the author only and may not reflect those of the forum administrators, moderators, or sponsors.


Forum Rules:

There are a few basic rules that were created to insure civil dissemination of information and debate. This forum is intended to be an open, liberal and unbiased forum, but the owners, moderators and sponsors reserve the right to edit and/or remove any message or graphic that break the following rules:

1) No hacking or repetitive messages.

2) No posting messages intended solely for solicitation. This doesn't mean you can't recommend a company, product or technique... to include a link.

3) No obscene or offensive language. This doesn't mean your comments can't offend someone; that is to be expected.

4) If you want to know a policy of sorts from one of the cave diving organizations, contact them direct. They are not under any obligation to monitor this forum. Any responses you get on this forum may NOT be representative of cave diving organizations. 

5) No retailer listings on the Gear Page.

6) Comments about individuals, agencies, organizations and businesses will be removed if found to be inflammatory or cause the discussion to be uncivil.

7) No obscene or inappropriate pictures and/or graphics for the message or gear forums. No copyrighted (unless yours) graphics uploaded.  This rule applies to usernames and avatars.


Affiliations and relationship with Cave Diving Agencies and other (cave diving) organizations:

In an order to remain an autonomous cave diving institution, the Cave Diver's Forum will not have an affiliation or sponsorship by any Cave Diving Training organization except for the following exceptions:

• Its owners/sponsors (currently Dayo Inc.)
   

• The Cave Diver's Forum can accept co-sponsorship of events and activities with Cave Diving Agencies, other organizations, and individuals that are deemed for the good of cave diving. This cooperation may include future online projects like web sites, chats, and research.
   

• The Cave Diver's Forum may, at our discretion, set up a display or exhibit at seminars and workshops of any cave diving or scuba related agency, or dive related organization.
  
   

Future Updates and Additional Features to the Forum

Input, largely from the users of the forum, will greatly influence future changes and additional features.
