You know, Scubapro used to sell drysuits and undergarments. I bought an Arctic II undergarment off eBay several years ago. It's listed as 30° to 35°. It seems to be Polartec 400 plus an outer layer of something. Barbara, I'd sell it to you but I'm afraid I might get talked into diving cold water again soon and it's the bomb.

I've only used it twice - in ABWA with 54° water, and once in JB where it was WAY overkill.

From owning the Whites, and having seen the Santi on another diver, I think the bulk is very similar.

The people I know up here who are diving the new 4th Element stuff like it, but it's VERY floaty (4 lbs MORE than a DUI 400g on a slender, middle-height man).

I don't think there's a perfect answer, but I've found the Whites with a 200g Thinsulate vest and a set of the Diving Concepts base layer under it, and argon, to be an answer that gets me through 60 to 70 minutes in water in the mid 40's. But I'm avidly eyeing a suit heater . . .

Seriously, if you're coming to HS over thanksgiving, bring it. We're flying into JAX that day; I could try it on.

I still can say I have never hit a person with my whips... yet.... but I could be provoked. However, I'm totally amenable to whacking the crap out of some guy (or gal) in exchange for $$ for dive gear or bicycles. Whacking people is not really my "thing," but buying dive gear is my thing.

I bought a used drysuit online, and went ahead and had the woman throw in her Weezle. Man, that thing would keep me warm in Antarctica! Don't they make several thicknesses of Weezles? This must be the it's-not-solid-ice-yet-because-of-the-salt-content model. I'd roast in FL in it.

I'm a tad bigger than you are, so it's not like you'd want mine. But you might look for one your size.

I use a Weezle Extreme under my TLS350 for winter diving in Puget Sound. Keeps me nice and warm. What I like best about it is that when my suit leaks (which is almost every dive ... after all, it's a DUI) I don't even notice until I'm out of the water ...
