I'm considering purchasing the Seavision Gaugereader mask. I have the option of getting the mask with yellow lenses which they claim helps in low light conditions. Anyone out there using this mask?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the yellow is adjusting for absorbed light coming from the surface. It has no purpose for anyone carrying their own light.
I bought a Seavision mask (with the red lenses) to help with particulate(?) in OW diving. I continue to use this mask (it has my prescription lenses in it) in cave diving. I have gotten a few stares when gearing up, but so far I haven't seen any downside in the cave. It may help reduce back scatter from my HID when my buddy stirs up a little silt.

I've got two SeaVision Ultra prescription masks, one lens is clear and the other is yellow. For cave diving I don't see much difference between the two, and use the clear for the majority of my dives. I wouldn't pay extra for the yellow lens though since I can't tell the benefit that's claimed.
I have been using the yellow in the caves and its ok can't say that it makes anything better. If I had it to do over again I would use the clear.

Thanks for the replies...that's the info I was looking for. I think I'll stick with the clear.

I have used the yellow lenses, and while I really like them in murky midwest lakes, I did not like them at all in caves.
In murky lakes I believe they made my vision a little sharper. . . but in caves they really detract from the beauty of the colors in the cave formations!

Yes, I have been asked on more than one occassion " Hey man, how cum you got dem red lenses in your goggles?" One time my buddy responded " because they look cool!" I realized then that he was right. I cant see any benefit for them in dem dare cavesI still keep one as a back up. I like the mask.
