ResQCaveDiver - Don't be put off by some of by some of these guys comments, they aren't being inappropriate they are just being safe. Like all of them have said, there is no absolute best gear there is some that is better than others yes, but now and days all new gear by a reputable company is good. Also, the latest, fanciest, more high tech stuff is usually not the best. A dive computer that you can program 20 gases, play games and send text messages is worthless if it craps out in the back of the cave or calculates your deco wrong. It is the stuff that has been around for 20 years and stood up to the test of time and abuse that is the "best" stuff most would say. Congrats on the company, that is great, I would love to be able to retire at 35 and dive midweek and if you keep it up sounds like you could make a lot of people jealous in a few years. One piece of advise since you are new (I think), if you want to earn some respect on the boards here and money isn't a big issue for you then you can help support what Mike Edmonston and Joe Hartranft are doing. They are providing technical gear for the young (usually college age) diver who wants to dive safely but not make compromises in their safety by skimping on good reliable gear because of money. They are outfitting 2-3 divers with the works in order for them to enjoy this fantastic sport safely. Here is the thread on decostop: http://thedecostop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30001

Good luck and let me know if you want me to test dive and review any gear in your search for the "best gear out there" ;O) All I ask is for 2 of such item so my buddy and I can enjoy ehh I mean "test" the gear out for you!

That is not understanding technology, that is looking up tools and using them. 'Understanding' would be an understanding of TCP and UDP layers, of octet assignments, of packet routing and bit assignment in packets....................

    But alas I digress.

Same goes with cave diving, having the tools (gear) does not make for a cave diver. That understanding comes with usage and experience.

    Im only guessing but....

Its always a concern when you see a person get excited about something purely because of the price tag.
Go do some more diving, learn the gear, then make some informed decisions.
