Not to be gross, but I thought those things were made of cotton and so quickly biodegraded. Not been in your neck of woods or claiming any responsibility however......
Well, they might be made of cotton , I have no idea, never got that close. I had a litter gripper with a 4ft handle
When I was park ranger, there was ALWAYS something to do.
My theory was, if I couldn't think of anything else, I would grab the litter grippers and the 5 gal bucket and just walk around. Picking up cigarette butts, twist ties from hot dog/hamburger bun bags, etc.,...there is ALWAYS something you could be doing.
I covered an awful lot of ground picking up litter everyday. It would not have gotten a chance to biodegrade.
