Default Safety related gear accessory product on my mind

Over the weekend I was cave diving and had a slight issue during the dive. Not a big deal at all and not anything new to me. As a matter of fact it is just something that I have come to accept as normal and no longer even think about.

A new perspective of this slight issue was brought to my attention the following day when my buddy did the exact same thing. I used my "cat like" reflexes for real this time since I was well aware of what was unfolding in front of my eyes. Upon my arrival to offer assistance, I got to get a good view of the issue which made me actually see in my mind how to make an improvement that would solve this.

I am currently working on it and will share more when it is ready. This is silly easy and should be some sort of standard on this piece of gear.

can you just tell us what is the safety issue that caused your great idea to pop up? this is brutal! That's like saying "I got you a really sweet present but i'm not sure if I'll give it to you on your birthday, christmas or maybe in a few birthdays."

    Come on, Don!

Could it be me getting entangled in the line trying to place a jump?

This weekend we dove peacock and while stopped at 20ft had a little fun. At the peacock entrance there's the larger opening to the right looking out, the rock wall/pile, then the small opening to the left. We always park ourselves up near the rocks so that we're keeping the larger exit open. So I was minding my own business and next thing I know a single diver is 6 inches in front of my face tying his line into the rock right in front of me. He was absolutely clueless and had no idea he was running into me or blocking my ability to exit. Rather than being a jerk, I quickly positioned myself to his side closer to the peanut gold line to be out of his way thinking he's obviously headed to tie into olsen line based on his path. Of course this isn't correct and next thing I know he's 6 inches to my side tying into the peanut line. I had to move again, but I couldn't see that there was another reel with line over my right shoulder, so of course I got it caught in my right post. The whole time this idiot has no idea he's running his line continually right at me, splitting up my team to 2 separate sides of the cavern, and blocking our ability to exit. At this point I'm wondering why he's alone as I'm disentangling the line from my right post. I watch him go back up to the surface to get his buddy then descend again to start the dive. The guy sounded clueless in the parking lot and proved it in the water with his complete lack of situational awareness.

Would your device help with that?
