    Default Little River updates?

Has anyone been to LR lately? Has it cleared? I am hoping to get a dive in there before the next hurricane floods it.

Yes, but is it flowing? ..Divable?

It's been a long while, but I dove it when the water was 1/3 of the way up the old steps. It was dark in the upper cavern, but clear and flowing down once at the goldline.

Considering it went under for an extended time, it needs a boil and some clearing time...

My comment was based on the video posted above

Back in the early 2000?s it was clear half way up the steps. Sad it no longer does that.

I never saw clear water at the steps.. But I do know that it would (or could) flow clear from the cave when the river was that high. With no real internet to guide us, just 'word of mouth' motivated us to run a line into the cavern in near zero viz, down to the mainline. Almost turned the dive just before we found clear water. FWIW, that was January '95

    Yes, the cave is diveable.

I've seen him dive in a lot worse than suwannee river water. (talking about Black Lagoon mostly)

That was when LR had flow to hold back the Suwannee. Now LR is a toilet that flushes at high river level, and never returns to the viz it used to have.
