"Some brave adventurers go further still, leaping from one air pocket to the next inside the cave".
    Hehe

First time I heard about Ginnie, while googleling shore dive here in SFL, I came to a website where it also had Jacques Cousteau quoted something like "clearest water he had ever seen", along with 2 or 3 pics, that stuck with me, I had to visit it!

I think that is an incredibly dangerous statement for TWC to post. Some kid might try it, and not make it back

Maybe one of the cave agencies should reach out to TWC.

Sat mornings in the summer are the best IMHO. There are usually a lot of swimmers there and its NOT still dark at 7am. Get on their email list. Sometimes Doc and a couple neighbors put on a pancake breakfast too.

During the week there are usually fewer swimmers and they start earlier (6:30ish). I can tell you its a bit odd swimming accross a Florida lake early morning when its still mostely dark. You definately start to think about your mortality and your relative place in the food chain.

I am in Orlando often and sometimes catch a swim there just to catch up with friends of mine that are regulars there.
