Cave Excursions annual REACT party - October 25th & 26th

This year we will be having a Friday night social, October 25th,starting at 6:30pm with some of the local “seasoned” divers. Come listen to Bill Rennaker, Paul Heinerth, Jim Fishback, Forrest Wilson, Mark Leonard and more could be added later to talk about their adventures in diving. This is a very informal setting – will be held out by the food tent with a bonfire going. We will provide hamburgers, hotdogs and chips. Please bring your own beverages.




Our annual Customer Appreciation Day will be held on Saturday, October 26th. The day starts at 8am and will go until 7pm.


As in the past, we will again offer boat rides to Telford Springs – the boat will start at 8am and go until 4pm. To take advantage of this, just make sure you are at the Telford boat ramp ready to go and the guys will get you to the spring and you can float back down to your vehicle.


This year Paul Heinerth is our guest speaker. Paul will be speaking about his great adventures in diving all over the world. His presentation will start at 2pm.


This year Bobby Franklin will be conducting a CCR Exploration Clinic starting at 10am.


Food will be served around 4pm – hamburgers, hot dogs, boston butt, chicken, beans, cole slaw, chips, cake and soft drinks.


As always, there will be a 50/50 drawing – winner takes home 1/2 the money collected. Tickets will be $1.00 each; 6 for $5.00 or an arm length for $10.00. You can pre-buy the tickets by calling the shop – 386.776.2299.

Every year I say I'm going to make it to REACT and every year something comes up. Dang it, I haven't seen Mark with a K Leonard in about fifteen years, so this year will be the year!

Wow - looking forward to it. Mark with a K Leonard taught me my first cavern class in 1984. I remember him being a really good instructor - have not seen him since. I look forward to reconnecting. I may have some pics from that class. Hoping for a three peat on the 50-50 too.

Last time I saw Mark he was helping your old instructor because he had a lot of students. Had a good talk with Mark in the water while somebody else finished off that last puff of a Marlboro.
