    I weight just over 120lbs. What talked me out of doubles other than the weight is the idea of the manifolld behind my head any a leak forming and I wouldn't know about.

    I already have the gear and I don't have the money to switch. Though on a boat you have the advantage.

    Side mount is in fact superior for cave diving. However, back mount is in fact superior for cave diving as well.

    Backmount was origionally made for open water and was adopted for cave diving. Sidemount was made only for cave diving. They both can be used in a cave with different skill sets and they both have limitations. For me sidemount is for my cave diving and backmount is for open water.
