Sidemount- Specialty or the new normal?

Holy crap, can you imagine a rebreather with a tank of LN2, a tank of LOX, and scrubber? You could make your scrubber HUGE (like, HP120 sized) and then your other cylinder (again, size of HP120) could house all of the equipment for LOX/LN2 mixing and heating! That way, you wouldn't have to worry about liquid air, just LOX and LN2....AND you could easily convert it from SM to BM. Holy crap, with that much gas and that much scrubber....you could stay down for YEARS! You'd get bent like a pretzel, but...so?

I think this thread has never been more relevant than now. Halcyon has released their SM rig....there could be a sidemount chapter in the DIR book, truly normalizing it.

I still think you need a class to properly sidemount without a TON of work....but I believe the same goes for Doubles.
