    GUE C1 - Fall 2008 - Fred Devos
    GUE C2 - Winter 2010 - Chris Le Maillot
DPV Cave - Spring 2012 - Danny Riordan

I really enjoyed having different instructors for each course.

Don't meet to many "other" ANDI folks very often....

SB, TDS, and CDF. i took the online scuba courses, they were free, but i still haven't received any cards. who do i talk to about this?

all of my cave training is CDS, and all of my tech certs are DSAT (PADI). full cave was 2010.

NAUI Cave I, my only cave cert, so that's what goes on the dash.

Others from SSI, TDI, IANTD, PADI and NAUI.

What goes on the dashboard/show? Well that's a question of where I am I suppose..

In the UK it's the CDG card (AMW was my mentor and Martin Groves my examiner, Duncan Price was one of many that helped beat me into shape..) as this is what is required most places..

Some places they don't recognise that card... so it'll be the GUE Cave 2 one..

I'm a firm believer of learning different perspectives from different instructors and the CDG mentoring program was very valuable to me. I'd previously had Trimix training at different levels from 3 different instructors and Cave from 3 different ones.

Oh and Forrest - when do we start an iCDG section... that's international before anyone has a fit!

All cave and specialty cave certs through CDS and NACD, gas certs through TDI...
Frankly I couldn't care less what agency you're certified through but if I'm diving with someone new for fun, I will ask who their cave instructor was...

I used to leave my NACD card on the dash but my cave 1 instructor card is the one with my wakulla sticker so I leave that one now.

I have padi cavern, nacd intro, tdi/nacd full, nsscds(IUCRR) recovery, PSI sidemount, naui cave 1 instructor. I cared more about the instructor than the agency personally.

I am working on that I have used my CDG card at every North Florida site that requires cards, and it hasn't been turned down yet.

It's interesting to hear that you're a cave instructor. I don't suppose you'd be willing to share a timeline with us, with some data points, would you? Here are some things I'd be interested in:
    • Date of OW certification
    • Date of DM certification, with number of dives to date at that time
    • Date of OW instructor certification, # of dives to date
    • Date of Cavern cert
    • Date of Intro cert, with # of cavern dives
    • Date of Full cave cert, with # of cave dives at Intro level
    • Date of AN/DP certification
    • Date of Trimix certification
    • Date of Cavern instructor certification, with # of open water students you'd certified to date at the time
    • Date of Cave instructor certification, with # of cavern students you had certified at that time
I know that's kind of a lot, but I'm imagining it would be fairly quick to pull the information from your log book. I don't mean to come across as interrogating you, it just seems like your progression has gone along at quite a clip, I'm wondering what kind of time spans are possible.

    Thanks,
    Eric
