Wait a minute Russell............seems to me you whipped out a stack of hotdogs over by the OG, not too long ago, & also offered me some soda & other fine drinks(corona ?} post dive ! the wieners were great too. & the Corona goes great right before heading over for a pizza supreme somewhere close by ! That will warm up our gullets in a hurry. Then of course a nice breakfast somewhere in cave country prior to the big dive the next day !
What with all that energy & calories consumed the nite before, you will be ready to roar ! Unless of course you have some sweet maiden waiting for you to come home !

Nothing wrong with pizza and hot dogs if you have an active lifestyle. It's the thinking a Diet Coke will counteract all that fat and grease.

Compare the number of Obese customers you see at McDonalds & Burger King to those you observe at a Hardee's or Wendy's ! What does that tell you ! You get more bang for your buck at Wendy's too, & the fast stuff is fresh, not frozen or pre-cooked ! The only good thing Micky D's gots going is their ice cream & coffee !

    ???

    Which is which?

I live in the deep south where 40% of the people are obese. I don't think which fast food junk food they choose matters at all.

Lol..........i see relatively few over-weight people at Wendys or Hardee's But then we cannot catagorize cave divers as they come in all sizes. Not to point the finger at any one individual, but there are those that guzzle & then there are those that consume food & drink like a bird. The endurance of the explorers doing long traverses seem to be in much better shape than those of us doing moderate recreational dives. I fall somewhere in between there, as i believe many on here do. it is convenient to drive thru a fast food restaurant on the way to cave country but we should be more selective on what we eat.

You can eat anything you want and still be healthy. You just can't do it all the time. I like the 80/20 rule. If 80% of what you consume is clean and healthy, you have a little wiggle room on the other 20. You're not going to gain 50 lbs by having a burger on a dive trip if you're eating well the rest of the week. Even more so if you're working out as well.

Thats crazy talk, In the South, we have our own 80/20 rule. 80% fried, 20% bar-b-qued.

Don't let them give you a hard time, that is pretty much what I do, and I am a lot older than either of them, and still healthy
