I found some additional SS Bulkheads so I will throw in the SS mounting kit.

    you will need:
    LiFe Battery charger
    20+ Lbs of lead

you can purchase the charger at www.batteryspace.com
the minimum you should buy is a 6Ah and the maximum is a 15Ah, I have and use both.
the 15Ah comes with the anderson connector (wrong one) but you can pop the case off and pop the black&red one on, I will even throw one in.
you can ask them to put on the anderson connector on the 6Ah charger.

you can also find a similiar LiFe pack on their website which will cost $1225 plus shipping due to Hazmat it will run $150 to $300
plus you will have to alter the pack to fit in the scooter and add the anderson connections. (these cells have different deminsions then the cells that I used so you need to verify that they will fit.)

    BTW
all of my wire connectors are soldered on.

Very nice looking build! It's hard to tell how long it is from the photo's. Would it allow the hull to be shortened 6.5"?

    6.5" well just 1/2" more and its a UV18.

the prismatic cells are quite large, they do not have the energy density the Li-ION or Li-PO have.
but the trade off is life cycles.

Li-ION or Li-PO get < 500 life cycles so the light to moderate user will get 2 to 4 years before you need a new $2,000 pack

LiFe get > 3000 life cycles, a light to moderate user will get 7 to 9 years before you need a new $900 pack, you do the math you'll see that LiFe is cheaper the SLA.

another nice thing about LiFe is that you feel the burn down, you notice the slowdown 15 to 20min before shutoff and with the PCM that I use it will level out the cells in about 5min and give you about another 20min of run time (this time is not included as part of the stated burn times)

I did not build the packs to reduce space, my goal was to cram as much Ah into the UV26 Hull for a reasonable price.

I did 2 years of research before deciding to use these cells, I looked at over 50 different types of cells evaluating their charge & discharge data, price, size & availability; these cells came in second.

I couldn't get the cells I wanted as they were only sold to the military for mobile launch platforms
I still dream about those cells, man I would have an 80Ah pack in a UV26.

To try to put this pack into perspective, I think my Magnus battery pack is a 950 watt hour pack. I think converting that to Amp Hours is divide the watts by the voltage, so 950 div by 50 = 19. So My Magnus has a 19 Amp Hour pack, but it's at 50V, not 24V, so again multiply by 2 to get 38 amp hours at 25V.
So putting aside the higher efficiencies of a higher voltage brushless motor and variable speed, a 26 with a 40 AH pack should have the same range of a Magnus.

Assuming of course I didn't butcher up the math

There's no need to "reverse engineer" the math to get less useful information. Watt hours (wh) is a unit of power that allows side-by-side comparison of systems with different voltage (v) and capacity (ah).

    The 8 cell prismatic LiFePO4 batteries have 1024 watt hours (25.6 v * 40 ah).

Sorry, I didn't think pointing out that this pack would give you the range of a Magnus for less than a grand was less useful.

It actually has a slightly longer range than the magnus. 1024 wh vs. 950 wh. The point was that information you started with (watt hours) was the most useful for comparison.

Thanks for the extra pictures. I was trying to figure out if the reduced weight could be offset by reducing the size of the scooter.
