I guess Greenwood is right, they must be the same as Madison. I saw one of those there, but didn't know what it was. They are indeed hard to miss, but probably easily pulled off the line by high current.

What I saw was about 2-3' long with several limestone pieces attached maybe cubic inch or two. Total of maybe 4 or 5 pieves with a backup light size sensor. They were hanging off the line vertically.

That would be it. And they are the same sensors as the ones installed at Madison.

In December there was a datalogger thingie behind the sign in P1 on the mainline with a note about being part of sciency stuff. It might have said something about being placed by one of the Florida Universities (UF, FSU, etc.) Is this the same thing?

No, that is a different, larger sensor in a different part of the cave.

I'll may be diving there this weekend. A picture would really help me.

Someone had a thing like that with either a hose or rope attched to it at P1 yesterday. I had to move it to get my stage bottle as it was laying beside the stairs.

I recall seeing a string of blocks on the 6th Jan 2013. I think it was the one at the start of the Distance tunnel line, but could possibly have been at the jump to Woody's Room near Challenge

Unfortunately, I don't get to Florida very often.....

According to my log, on the 8th and 10th we dove the Distance tunnel and definitely there was absolutely nothing on the line up till the second T. So chances indeed are it might be the jump to Woody's Room right before Challenge.
