My name is Shirley Kasser Creech and I approve this message. Well, at least one of me does, anyway. Maybe. Fire. Sharp things. Squirrel!
Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.
Hey, my comment went for both side of the fence! Both of us can accidentally glue ourselves shut! First time I ever tried one was last week. It was highly amusing The play by play conversation before and after, well let's just say Kate and Tara are probably scarred for life! Lol.
It's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years.
On Saturday (03/09) my planned charter dive out of Gloucester, MA was cancelled due to NOAA calling for 15' seas. This was the 6th 2013 charter that I have had previously scheduled that was cancelled due to weather conditions. I've only had one 2013 charter go out and that was a wreck and scallop charter out of East Boston in January.
However today I did go for a shore dive in Narragansett Bay (RI) with water temperatures between 36-38 F. Very little sea life with viz in the 10' range.
Next weekend I have plans for the Ice Dive Jamboree at Lake Winnipesaukee on the Lady of the Lake wreck. Going to follow this the following day with a trip to West Rutland for a cave dive in the mine passages at True Blue.
Stay thirsty my friends!
Would be interested in hearing a report about the mine dive in Rutland, if you can post one after your trip it would be much appreciated!
There are other threads with reports on-line (CDF and SB) since I don't want to hijack this thread though I see about a post dive report in a new thread.
Five of my 17 cave dives during my 10-16 February 2013 visit were at Lttle River Springs. It was absolutely delightful with perfect weather, wonderful dives conditions and minimal crowds. The present condition is sad indeed.
I have been known to shed a tear or two when it is time to head back down south after a great weekend of cave diving.
