    Default Lafayette Blue/kitty/trap

Dove from kitty up to trap and then down further towards a couple other sinks(i forget their name).

Viz was 10-15' without much flow.

traveling the other direction the viz was a little better, maybe 20' but still not great.

from my understanding LB is not getting much better, if you get 30' it's good unless you hit a spring somewhere
I really like this cave, don't know what it is that attracts me to go back.

It's one of my favorites too - downstream more than upstream from Kitty. From what I understand 20' viz in LB would be good and 10-15' is probably closer to average than bad viz. A year or so ago it had viz near 40' and it realyl helps see the larger aspects of the cave upstream and in the large areas downstream from Kitty - but it was still murky in the manner of P3.

There is a sidemount tunnel that springs and viz in there is excellent, but it gets snug in spots, the line is dark, old and slack and in areas where it's larger, the bottom is very silty and the rock very soft and fragile.

we poked around and did find that tunnel by accident, not knowing it's there or exists and we were quite surprised by the excellent viz, went in there a few times to get see where it's going, some of the side passages are nasty.
+1 on the downstream, as of my maps there is a circuit that connects the upstream to the downstream,it's on my list.....

I am one of Kitty fans as well. Indeed the spring tunnel (first jump downstream) is like day and night comparing the viz with the main tunnel. Did it a month ago and I could not believe how much the visibility changes. It has to be a different source that springs water out of this tunnel...

Probably the same thing that makes you want to dive in Alabama

Just looking at some of those LB sink holes from the surface give me a bit of a pucker. IDK, something about a siphon where there is flow at the surface just bothers me. PIII and Cow don't bother me.

P3 is a beautiful dive! I love it. Have not done it in years though.

It's not the years in your life that matter, but the life in your years.
