So over a week out of the water and the tinnitus comes and goes. It's absent more than present and more noticeable at night in the morning and after a shower. No balance or pain. Mild high pitch hearing loss in right ear. Starting taking vitamin b. Seeing the ent again Tuesday. They want to go over my ct iacs and scope my nose. Hope I can return to diving by September.

Yes, but prednisone has some nasty side effects. While it is commonly prescribed, if you can treat it without, you would be better off. See G60's link. People have had a lot of success with lipoflavonoids in treating tinnitus. And you don't need a prescription to get it. Head over to Wal-mart or CVS. Make sure you take the max dose the first few weeks, then drop it back to minimum once the tinnitus is gone.

Adam, for what it's worth . . . I have tinn from early military years of hanging around big engines and no hearing protection.
As you said, mine also "It's absent more than present and more noticeable at night in the morning and after a shower. No balance or pain. Mild high pitch hearing loss in [both] ear[s]."
Mine is never absent, but its loudness grows and wanes. It is much more pronounced after diving and the loudness wears off slowly. Mine became really noticeable at 40, before I started diving, but I noticed it was aggravated by diving after a few years.
